September 6, 2014 will be a national day of community outreach and direct action. Whether this means organizing a teach-in, a rally, a demonstration or a town hall addressing police brutality in a community space, we implore leaders to engage their families, friends and neighbors by taking action.

The September 6 Call to Action was designed with the goal of fostering dialogue and spreading knowledge, resulting in an individualized plan of action for local communities. Since we encourage discussion before and after September 6, we hope that a day of action will help foster continual discussion for future endeavors. Please use the hashtag #Sept6CTA to raise awareness of your upcoming event on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Instagram. We also encourage you to update us on your progress as you continue this work.
